Chanté Osagiede is an Actor, Music Facilitator, Singer and is currently one of the four Lead Artists on Living Song’s Artist Approach 2 Project. Her biggest musical inspiration is her mum, who instilled her love for reggae and lover’s rock music from a very early age. She is passionate about the power music has in unifying people of many different walks of life, and developing more enriching experiences, particularly for young people.
With a name that literally means “to sing” in French, Chanté’s love for singing was almost destined to happen. She grew up within the Living Song CIC community, her first experience being performing in the Ark Schools Music Gala at the Barbican Centre when she was around 13 years old. Chanté graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2018 with a BA (Hons) in Acting, and is a multi-faceted actor showcasing her talents across different mediums, from Film & TV to Theatre and Voiceovers. She has gone on to gain extensive experience in the Music Education field, curating, facilitating and supporting workshops and projects with organisations such as Ark Schools, Sing Up, and iGospel since 2011. She also works within the community, leading workshops in Newham and elsewhere. Alongside education, Chanté performs regularly alongside esteemed Artists and choirs, within a variety of musical styles.
