In July, NewYVC hosted Peace In Every Voice at the Southbank Centre, London.
The 500 strong massed choir NewYVC UNITE sang their hearts out with NewYVC and guest choirs, Aspiro from Ireland, The Dunfermline Junior Chorus from Scotland, and the Ricards Lodge Chamber Choir.
An audience choir also added their sound to the mix. This was made up of six community choirs, including Forest Voices, Nelson Staff Choir and the Isle of Dogs Community Choir.
The performance was the outcome of a two year singing programme, including teacher and young artist training and development, repertoire sharing, workshops in schools, cluster and massed rehearsals and a series of increasingly high profile performances, led by Stratford Circus in partnership with Living Song CIC.
